FAN CLUB CONTEST PRESS RELEASE

As part of the Hockey Cards Project to raise funds for Stop Concussions & Safespace Project. We are creating a contest between any Fan Club that wants to participate. Please read the outline of the projects at: http://www.ihahockey.com/English.html or http://www.ihahockey.com/Deutsch.html

The winner of the Fan Club Contest will win a valuable trophy (surprise in the making) and other chances at prizes including a weekend for two at an annual Hockey Hall of Fame game in Toronto, Canada at the Air Canada Centre, all expenses paid. We will be adding prizes as we progress forward towards the minimum goal of €100,000 for Stop Concussions.com and the Safespace Project.

Participation is simple. The Fan Club that will have raised the most donations for cards and CD's will receive the Trophy from Kerry Goulet and Ian Wood former retired German league stars and now from Stop Concussions and from NHL guest stars. The trophy presentation will take place during a special VIP night at the winning Fan Club's home stadium on a game night to be determined.

For the donations to Stop Concussions' for cards contest link here for the cards that have been donated by International Hockey Archives for this project : http://www.ihahockey.com/IShopping/index.php?p=shopping/list and here: http://www.ihahockey.com/IShopping/index.php?p=shopping/cards/list and CD's here: http://www.ihahockey.com/IShopping/index.php?p=shopping/cdstore/list

The total amount donated for cards by Fan Clubs over the next year will be tabulated based on the % (percent) ratio of attendance in the arena or stadium. For example the Berlin Eisbären have a fan average of 14,000 and the Hannover Indians fan average is 3000 that is about a 78% difference in attendance. So if Berlin Eisbären Fan Club raised €13,000 vs €3,000 for the Hannover Indians Fan Club the Hannover Indians would be ahead of Berlin. This system will give every Fan Club an opportunity to be competitive.

Although the cards are from the 1990's to 2004 it's a great opportunity to be part of the history of German and Swiss hockey through the cards and the players that brought so much entertainment over the years. Many of these players are suffering from concussions and looking for solutions and others can be educated by Stop Concussions to avoid them in the future. It's a great opportunity for fans and Fan Clubs to give back to the players that have given so much over the years.
